Lunch giveaway at Raising Cane's

Those looking for a chicken finger breakfast during their Tuesday morning commute can swing by Raising Cane's restaurant on Emmet Street for a free box combo meal.

To celebrate the opening of the franchise's 100th restaurant, the first 100 customers, at the Charlottesville branch Tuesday morning will receive a free meal, complete with four chicken fingers, fries, sauce, Texas toast, and a drink.

The store will even be opening an hour early June 7 at 9:30am to accommodate customers.

Loyal fans of the restaurant, or "caniacs" as they have been called, will also get the chance to enter to win free food for a year.

Over the last 15 years, Raising Cane's has expanded from a small Louisiana eatery to a franchise with 100 locations in 15 states. The Charlottesville branch opened in 2006 at the site of what had previously been, among other things, a Krispy Kreme donut shop.
