Reservations with Anthony Bourdain

The Paramount Theater just announced that celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert will be coming to town in October for an "open, frank and provocative back-and-forth about the restaurant business." Knowing  Bourdain, "open and frank" may be a somewhat tame characterization. The author of the hugely popular book Kitchen Confidential, and host of the Travel Channel TV show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, is known for both his saucy opinions and his willingness to eat just about anything. Love him or hate him, Bourdain calls it as he sees it.

Joining him is French chef/author Eric Ripert, host of the  PBS program Avec Eric and a frequent guest judge on Bravo's Top Chef. Ripert learned from the best in France, studying under Joel Robuchon and Jean Louis Palladin, and took his talents to the four-star Le Bernardin in New York City. The New York Times has described him as "a maestro, and his kitchen a finely tuned orchestra."

The event takes place October 30 at 8pm. Tickets are available at the Paramount Theater box office or online at www.theparamount.net.  Ticket prices run from $44.50 to a VIP ticket for $99.50 that gets you into an after party/book signing at TEN.

A bit of respect for Mr Robuchon, the best chef of his generation!!!
I still remember dish to dish, ten years after eating at his place.

So it is "Robuchon" and not "Rubechon".
