Crafts and Trades on Mulberry Row

Monticello(http://www.monticello.org/)

Mulberry Row, Monticello’s busy plantation road, comes to life during this weekend through “Crafts and Trades on Mulberry Row.” The main road of the plantation was the center of domestic and industrial activity on Jefferson’s mountaintop. Visitors can experience cultural pastimes and see the work that took place just 75 feet from Jefferson’s own quarters. This visual and interactive interpretation of Mulberry Row includes a look at the crafts and trades of the enslaved members of Mr. Jefferson’s community. 931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway (Rt. 53). 984-9822.
