African American Storytelling and Music at Monticello

Mulberry Row, Monticello’s busy plantation road, comes to life this weekend with “African American Storytelling and Music at Monticello.” The main road of the plantation was the center of domestic and industrial activity on Jefferson’s mountaintop. Visitors can experience cultural pastimes and see the work that took place just 75 feet from Jefferson’s own quarters. This visual and interactive interpretation of Mulberry Row includes a look at cultural influences of the enslaved members of Mr. Jefferson’s community. 931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway (Rt. 53). 984-9822.
