Sins of omission

I read with much pleasure Mark Grabowski's round-up of local music ["Sonic Boom," cover story, July 25, 2002] (http://readthehook.com/92318/cover-story-sonic-boom-local-sound-scen...) in which, with the arguable exception of Ostinato, the entirety of the experimental and underground scene in Charlottesville was neglected.

When the hacks don't know who you are, you must be doing something right!

Also, not to be pointlessly mean– but I don't think anyone else has been frank enough to say the obvious– John D'earth has no ideas and plays them too loudly.
