Court Days in Lee Park

I love October in Charlottesville. The leaves begin changing colors, the breeze blows, and you can smell the crisp scents of fall wafting through the air.

And so it was this past Saturday, October 6, in Lee Park in downtown Charlottesville. The Charlottesville Downtown Foundation was holding its bi-annual Court Days, an outdoor arts and crafts festival that draws artisans and entertainers from points far and wide.

You could buy earrings, tie-dyed dresses, paintings, candles– you name it. And then there was the Kettle Korn, that yummy sweet-salty concoction you gobble hot from the kettle. Musicians like Bennie Dodd strummed guitars and sang songs to entertain festival-goers, and homemade lemonade quenched one's thirst. Wonder where you'll be next October.
