Newest Virginia Landmarks Register addition

The 1940 Spanish Colonial Revival house on Rothery Road isn't a typical Virginia manse. And that's why it was just listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register. Now owned by Virginia Stokes, the house was built by UVA music professor Henry Rogers Pratt and his wife, writer Agnes Edwards Rothery Pratt. Named "Recoleta," the house joins more than 130 Charlottesville and Albemarle properties already listed on the register.


Recoleta receives recognition.
