MS-diss no news

I find it very interesting that we would have to pass a bill to encourage the most obvious and active "new" technologies ["Back at it: Waldo brings Microsoft calling," News, March 18].

Thousands of businesses and foreign governments are using freeware like Linux, so this is very old information. The fact that MS got upset is also old news, as they have a long track record of fighting open source technologies. I cannot see anything really new here other than the usual showboating.
