Where's positive follow-up?

As a former teacher of sociology and world religions, I found Dr. Anderson Thomson's [September 30] cover article, "Why They Kill," the most secular humanistic and fatalistic piece I have ever read. Such articles do nothing more than inflame already volatile ethnocentrism in the basic social institution of religious faith and human sanctity.

I shall look forward to a sequel feature article by Dr. Thomson offering some positive suggestions as to how we, as "risen apes" and doomed Abrahamic converts and pretenders, may stand a chance of improving the state of humankind and our "only world" we have.
