My brother's autism

Thank you for publishing the article on mercury and autism in the April 7 edition of The Hook. My 3-year-old brother has autism. The doctors told my mom and dad that there was not much that we could do for him.

This made me so sad. I'm glad my mom and dad thought differently.

They did lots of stuff like getting rid of gluten and casein from his food, gave him vitamins and supplements, and helped get the mercury out of his body. I used to think my brother didn't love me because he always wanted to be by himself. Now I know he does because he gives me hugs, and he says my name all the time.

I hope that more doctors will learn more about what to do for kids with autism. When I grow up, I'm going to help kids like my brother.
