'Marina' still missing

Still missing: It's been nearly two weeks since Julie Garcia's mixed media collage and painting, "Marina," disappeared from the Charlottesville Albemarle Regional Airport, and there's still no sign of it.

Garcia was asking $630 for the diptych, a two-paneled piece, but says she's not upset about the loss of income.

"I don't think people realize how personal art is," she says, describing the theft as "a violation."

Though her hopes of getting "Marina" back are fading, she hopes "having the painting in the paper will at least keep the thieves from hanging it up."
