Caravati's confused

Councillor Blake Caravati claimed in the November 17 article on the passage of the elected school board referendum, "'Resounding' victory: Does elected school board knock Dems?" that only "five people on the executive committee" of the Charlottesville/Albemarle NAACP endorsed the referendum.

This is untrue. It was the rank-and-file membership of the NAACP– not just the executive council– that unanimously endorsed the referendum at the organization's October 2005 meeting.
