Beta props: Should Blake, Jessie, and Anna get credit?

A trio known only as Blake, Jessie, and Anna appear to be the first to put paint on the replacement swath of Beta Bridge, the famous transportation device/message board near the University of Virginia.

"First to paint new Beta," the trio wrote in white spray paint across the fresh surface of the recently repaired Bridge, which carries Rugby Road across the CSX train tracks and was damaged in October by a University bus.

A quick check with unofficial UVA historian Coy Barefoot finds that even though putting a message on Beta Bridge typically involves more extensive effort involving covering up the prior message, this seems to qualify.

"It's paint," says Barefoot.
