UVA sculpture team takes "Byron's Telescope" to the Water Street Parking Lot

The University of Virginia's summer sculpture class and sculpture community travel to the Water Street Parking Lot to present "Byron's Telescope: A Performance Machine of the Rites of Passage, Involving Terror, Beauty, Death, and Resurrection," offering free rides on a human-propelled performance sculpture (which is destined for the Burning Man Festival in Black Rock City, NV later in the summer). To see the sculpture in action and learn more, visit the "Byron's Telescope" blog at http://www.byronstelescope.blogspot.com/. The project team is also looking for volunteers to help  with all aspects of the project. To volunteer, contact William Bennett at .
