Snap o’ the Day: Boxer walls come down

To keep the dust from flying as the walls of the old Boxer/Central Fidelity Bank building on the Downtown Mall came down, workers used a fire hose on the building. The demo is making way for The Landmark, a $30 million 9-story luxury hotel scheduled to open in July 2009.

I sure hope the guy holding the hose doesn’t trip over a cinderblock and lose his balance. Wouldn’t take but a split second for his stream of water to hit the electricl supply on the brick wall next door. It would light him up like a Christmas tree! Demolition is a very dangerous job.
