While we’re talking about China’s travails trying to host the 2008 Olympics in the aftermath of devastating earthquakes, we should mention that local Tibetans are having a prayer vigil for Chinese earthquake victims Friday night between 8 and 10 on the Downtown Mall at 2nd Street NE, and according to a press release, the Chinese Students and Scholars Society of UVA will attend.
