Hoo fans waiting on the fall season to arrive can celebrate a big victory for old favorite Somdev Devvarman. Playing at the Legg Mason Classic in Washington DC, the former UVA standout pulled off an upset in straight sets against world no. 15 ranked Marin Cilic. The victory comes as the first for Devvarman against a top-20 ranked opponent. Cilic had previously beaten Devvarman in the finals of the Chennai Open in January. Devvarman advances to the third round, where he will play either world no. 33 ranked Ivo Karlovic or Rainer Schueletter.
