Taylor Swift at JPJ
It was sunny and 79 degrees outside John Paul Jones Arena Saturday, March 20, but unlike most concerts, there were very few tailgaters among the families-with-children crowd. There were, however, three UVA students with hastily-scrawled signs, one of which read "Hoos for Kanye," but faux protesters Andrew Young, Michelle Fox, and Andrew Jehl were asked to move away from the JPJ plaza because some parents complained. Gloriana opened, followed by Kellie Pickler, who made it to the top 6 in American Idol's fifth season. And then the main event. Platinum-selling Swift--- famous for such songs as "Tim McGraw," "Just Another Picture to Burn," and "Our Song"--- showed why her concert sold out the the Arena in about an hour. (photos by J.
