Satyendra Huja has strolled these streets– and in many cases scultpted these streets– with trees, bike lanes, and public art. While his legacy will surely inspire vigorous debate, few residents can deny that Charlottesville is a far different place today than the planner with a turban found when he arrived 31 years ago.
