LETTER- Coran's trees and weeds
Published May 6, 2004, in issue 0318 of The Hook
The "impressive" tree besides Coran Capshaw's Seven Oaks is a sycamore and not a beech ["Coran's place: Rock 'n real estate," News, April 29, 2004].
It is indeed an impressive tree. Sycamores rarely live long enough to attain that size, as they are easily damaged by high winds.
But the really amazing thing about Capshaw's place is that there was not a dandelion to be found. He should patent whatever he's doing, as he could make another fortune solving the age-old problem of dandelions proudly sprouting up everywhere.
