EDITOR'S NOTE- Farewell, fine reporter

Published July 16, 2009 in issue 0828 of the Hook

The journalism industry just lost a talent, as three-year Hook reporter Lindsay Barnes heads off to law school. The man behind many memorable stories, including murder and pornography in Staunton, a look at the swirl of litigation around netrepreneur Halsey Minor, and a recent profile of radio host Rob Schilling, he has been an integral part of the Hook's award-winning news team-- even back in the summer of 2005 when he was a college intern in our newsroom.

We hope he doesn't pass the bar because his chair will be waiting for him back here.

I really enjoyed his articles. He wasn't selling something. Good luck.

I didn't watch; how did he do on "Jeopardy!"?
