Parents ignored over 'glitchy' system

Thanks so much for "Glitchy System: Inside the student software debacle," [the September 15 cover story] by Dave McNair. This is, unfortunately, the sad truth. A group of parents had been unsuccessfully trying to alert the School Board of these issues. Your excellent report brings forth a reality that we can no longer avoid, and I hope that in light of the public nature of your article, the School Board will act promptly and correct this situation. It is clear that we need new leadership, and I hope that our community will stand up for their teachers and students and demand immediate solutions. Teachers continue to be overloaded, and class sizes continue to be large; and nothing is done to correct this.
