Degrees of cheese: Nook featured in cookbook

If you think mac and cheese is toddler food that comes in a blue box, a new book has a surprise for you. With 80 sophisticated mac and cheese recipes borrowed from restaurants across the country, including two from the Nook on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, the aptly titled Mac and Cheese is the latest culinary offering from USA Today's founding food editor Ellen Brown, author of 30 other cookbooks. Among the interesting recipes: mascarpone lobster mac and cheese and "big kid mac" with spinach, caramelized onions, and truffle oil. The Nook's offerings are tempting as well: chesapeake crab mac and cheese and mac and cheese with ham, tomatoes, and three cheeses. Yum!
