Roseberry's lens

Photographer Ed Roseberry, a man whose images constitute a powerful record of more than 50 years, was on the job at Charlottesville's 250th birthday celebration, shooting with his trusty twin lens Rollieflex. The event, held Sunday December 23 at the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society, also included a performance by the Municipal Band of Charlottesville and the sealing of a time capsule that'll be stored in the Historical Society archives and opened up in 2062.

Ed is a fantastic photographer and a fine person. I remember when he used to come to our house to take family portraits. Such memorable events because he knew how to make us feel comfortable through kindness and humor. I treasure the work that he did and thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I remember Mr Roseberry coming in Carys Camera Shop when I worked there in the 80's. Great customer and man!! Always a smile, even when his photos were late!!
