The posh Greenbrier resort, storied destination of presidents and captains of industry and formerly the site of America's most extensive Cold War bunker, has gone bankrupt, but owner CSX will sell it to Marriott.

Always liked the Homestead better.

Ooooh, I love The Greenbrier much better than the Homestead. There is more to do there, unless you play golf. I think The Greenbrier made a huge mistake when they changed the look several years ago. They trashed the Old White lounge while redecorating. It looks like a brothel now! The staff is wonderful at The Greenbrier. Homegrown, down to earth folks who have often worked there for generations, take such pride in their jobs. I hope someone gets a handle on the situation. This never would have happened with sensible managers in charge.
