MY RIDE- Russell Hubert: 2000 Honda CR-V

In 2005, Russell Hubert ran into some transportation troubles. "My other car blew up," he says. "I was desperate."

He headed down to a dealership advertising a sale, but when he got there, he was told the sale was over. Lucky for Russell, they'd forgotten one thing.

"This car still had the sale price tag on it," he says. The dealership sold it to him for that price, and he rode off the lot in his blue CR-V.

It's worked out well. "It gets good gas mileage," says Russell, who discovered another key feature recently.

"It has automatic four-wheel drive," he says. "I didn't realize it until I felt it work."
