On June 13, Citizens for a Sustainable Water Supply member and former school board chair Dede Smith announced her candidacy for City Council– in a park, under a tree, south of the tracks. Members of the media, including the Newsplex's Frankie Jupiter and NBC29's Matt Talhelm, were there to ask questions.
