Horsin' around

Foxfield Races are Charlottesville’s rite of spring. From thousands of students and alumni to society’s “ladies who lunch,” hoards turned out for this year’s festivities on Saturday, April 27, the 25th anniversary of the Foxfield tradition. Fields, SUVs, and ladies in sundresses and hats stretched as far as the eye could see. Parties ranged from celebrations with crystal and silver to hoe-downs featuring kegs and blaring music. The weather was perfect; the course was in good condition; and this year’s events went off without a hitch.
