Was up on Pantops and stopped in. We got a bit of both..breakfast and dinner. Great food and friendly staff.
I loved the Veal Parmigiana and my buddy said the Eggs Benedict were awesome. Nice to find food that is
good and hot when it gets to the table. Definitely on my list of 'must visit again'!!!!!!!!!!

It is really good park for whole family. When we went there for the first time last year we were just surprise with their food and fast but excellent service. It is remarkable. The restaurant is neat and clean. Me and my whole family were very happy of our first fantastic trip and dinner. And since then me and my family are still going there.white kitchen cabinets

Very casual, very interesting. Great food, outstanding wine

Here's what is what at Tastings of Charlottesville: There is a chef who knows what he is doing with some of the first-rate meats, vegetables, and breads from the area and beyond. Great food. It's part of this wine shop, both of which are run by Bill Curtis, who has a national reputation.

Curtis keeps up with the Virginia wine scene, I guess. Everyone says he's an expert on Virginia wines. He has a lot of them in the shop, but it's rare that he'll feature them in his restaurant. What he does stock and pour is some fine wines from Europe, Africa and the West Coast (especially Oregon and Washington). He'll reach out to South America often, too. It's unlikely you'll see these labels in Food Lion or even Whole Foods. Or, if you do, it's not the same grape or vintage you got to taste here. Curtis' contacts are extensive and they don't send him overpriced junk.

Sooooo, you go into this place, walk through the shop to the laid-back restaurant in the back, ignore the menu and read the blackboard. Good stuff. Then, you talk wine with your server. This is where there is the twist: How about trying three wines with what you've ordered? Get a recommendation, or check out three types of wines you've heard about, together. Try a French against a Virginia against an Oregon red of the same type. (Probably not recommended, but you get the idea.)

Your dinner companion can get three completely different ones. You've got six glasses of wine on the table which you are trying with some first-rate food. (Taste each wine before the meal comes out, now taste each with the food. Whoa, different! You are getting into these wines. Ah, thus the unique concept here. (One lesson: Not all of the enjoyable, good wines are expensive. Another lesson you might get on a third or forth visit to Tastings: Some of those higher prices wines are higher priced for a reason that you can taste.)

If you enjoy laughing at wine snobs, avoid this place. You'll see, first hand, that there is something to think about regarding better wines. Then you not be able to laugh at them anymore.

The bread is heavenly with lots of whole grain choices. Don't forget to try the sandwiches,
especially the curried chicken salad. For true curry lovers only.

great food good service but needs a good cleaning

We went for dinner and tried several appetizers , soup and dessert, we loved everything we had even the coffee
was good! The server was friendly and helpful since it was our first time eating at Shebeen she made some
good suggestions. I must say though after looking around a bit I did notice that the ceiling tiles had mold from
an old leak in the ceiling and that the dividers near the wait station had never been dusted- the place needs a
good cleaning. The atmosphere was nice and the place was cute, I just don’t know if I would return since it was
pretty dirty- made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Worst Restaurant in C'ville- they also over charged our cc!

We were not planning on stopping by Expresso Italian Restaurant and Pancake House; we had not heard good
things since the name had changed but we were in the area and decided to try it. It was a very bad experience,
the older man that snapped us (should have walked out than) when we walked in was beyond rude to us and his staff. Than we got to the table and the paper place mats were sticking to the table. The server was very nice but a little nervous due to the fact that the
older man kept yelling at everyone. Than the food came and it was just ok. Than we were leaving and again the
older man was rude when we paid the bill. The rest of the day the 3 of us were not feeling well, but I went
home and was checking my online banking and Expresso had over charged my card by several dollars! I called
to request they fix the charge and I was quickly told that "banks will often add a charge to your card because
the assume you will add a tip", this was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard (I pay tips in cash). I
quickly called my bank and explained what had happened. So I suggest that if you actually go to the restaurant
that you double check to make sure you are charged correctly, they answered the question so quickly, like it had happened before which made me wonder if this is a regular thing.
