A group of University of Virginia students marched across Grounds today to a meeting of the governing board to demand an array of changes including the resignation of the leader, Helen Dragas.
The students waved their signs but never said a word. For about an hour, there was no official mention of the sign-toting students, who were limited to seven seats in a room with an official capacity of 307.
"It was as though we were invisible," said protestor Laura Goldblatt, who described some official statements as "intimidation."
