Could you be more insensitive?
It has been just five months since the September 11 tragedies, and I'm stunned and disappointed by the insensitivity of Bill & Rich Sones in their column titled "Deadly Reflection." Dozens of people chose to jump to their deaths that day rather than be burned alive. I don't need to be informed by Sones & Sones that had King Kong fallen to the ground from a New York skyscraper, it would have been with body-splattering force and that "Pink mush would have covered the streets of Manhattan."

In fairness to the Sones brothers, it should be pointed out that we snapped this one out of their pre-9/11 archive. In our haste to put out the first issue of The Hook, we definitely made a poor choice in running this particular STRANGE BUT TRUE item.[~]ed.

You go, guy!
I just wanted congratulate you on dealing with such assholes in professional and respectable manor. What those guys don't understand is that we read C-ville, not because it's chic, and not because it's the called C-ville Weekly, but because it's you and your staff behind it.

We want all the Charlottesville gossip that's fit to print. We want to know what's really happening in Charlottesville. We read it because you're a good guy and because you employ good, local people who care about this community. It may be called The Hook now, and you could change the name once a month, every month, but it's still the good old C-ville Review to us, and we'll keep coming back for more.

Best of luck to you and your staff. Keep printing, and we'll keep reading.
