It took almost four months, but we hope the wait was worth it. As far as we can tell, the Hook's new website, at readthehook.com, is the best local media site-- by far. On our front page, we offer three particularly cool things:

* news and features from the latest issue of the Hook

* movietimes we compile from area theaters.

But that's not all. You'll probably want to bookmark readthehook.com as your portal because we also offer:

* current weather,

* websearch by Google,

* financial quotes,

* local links,

* a searchable archive of Hook stories, and

* international news straight from the New York Times.

No other local media site, except perhaps for The Cavalier Daily, offers even half as much content.
