Much like the Brady Bunch, another big happy family, the Waltons refuse to leave the airwaves. Despite rolling out of prime time in 1981, after a nine-year run, the show has never gone off the air.
Recently, The Waltons aired on TNN, the Nashville Network, part of the Viacom empire. But last month, Viacom moved the show to the 1pm slot on TVLand. There it airs seven days a week-- sandwiched between Gunsmoke and The Rookies. --Hawes Spencer
