The Hook's second annual Fiction Contest has unleashed a torrent of entries. By the deadline last week, we had received about 130 entries from 116 people. (The snowstorm caused our official counting process to be disrupted, i.e. the stack got stuck at a judge's house.)

In this reporter's dozen or so years of handling a fiction contest for a local weekly, this is a record level of participation. We look forward to naming a worthy victor in our March 13 edition.
