Local Dems say it's pure coincidence that both Governor Mark Warner and Lt. Governor and 2005 gubernatorial candidate Tim Kaine (pictured here) showed up in Charlottesville March 31. Warner held a town meeting at the Nook. Kaine came by that afternoon to bless the new Main street Democratic headquarters and the three Dem City Council candidates: David Brown, Kendra Hamilton, and Kevin Lynch. Both Warner and Kaine castigated the Republican-majority General Assembly that has yet to pass a budget. Kaine, on his way to the Miller Center, says people there "asked me months ago to talk about the General Assembly wrap-up. I changed the speech to 'The 10 Stages of Budget Disaster.'"-- Lisa Provence
