The Hook's Culture section is losing the writing talents of Performance editor Stephen Boykewich. He has just graduated from UVA's MFA fiction program and having won a Fulbright grant, he has headed off into a language immersion program this summer at Middlebury College.

Then, he's off to learning literature from Russians, and he hopes to solidify his role as an intellectual who bridges the worlds of creativity and criticism. Readers wanting to learn more about his intellectual life should check out stephenboykewich.com.
