Thank you for the May 27 Hook article on Augusta County schools [Cover story, "They break for Jesus"]. I like when you guys take on big local issues.

In justification for Christian hour during school day, Pam Stoneburner is quoted as saying, "[Our country} was founded on Biblical principles."

No, Pam, nice try, but wrong. No Jesus, no Moses in the Constitution. An hour a week studying the Constitution and the writings of our Founders is the patriotic answer.
