QUESTION OF THE WEEK- What did you think of the Alston verdict?
Published November 18, 2004, in issue 0346 of the Hook
Ryan Gibbs: "I think it's outrageous, honestly. I don't think defending yourself involves stabbing someone 18 times-- and mostly in the back. I went to high school with Walker Sisk, and he always struck me as a really nice guy."
Alice Handy: "I thought the whole incident was tragic. I didn't follow the trial or the proceedings, but I sure hope the jury got it right."
Kurt Schlegel: "The defense that basically claimed that Sisk committed suicide against Alston's knife is ridiculous. Three years is too small a price to pay for what he clearly did. Somebody should go to jail for disposing of the knife. Let's hope we see a civil suit for wrongful death."
