LETTER- Don't forget Sal's
Published February 10, 2005, in issue 0406 of the Hook
When my husband and I moved to the area 10 years ago, we took everyone's advice and tried Duner's, then Crozet Pizza-- both wonderful restaurants.
We quickly moved on, though, in search of a restaurant with good food, reasonable prices, friendly service, and a local feel.
Sal's of Crozet fits that bill and has been our regular stop almost every Friday night, sometimes more, ever since. We've never been disappointed with a meal, the prices are more than reasonable, and the service and family/community feel are special.
You've overlooked Sal's in several articles regarding local restaurants, most recently in your [January 20] map and overview of restaurants out Route 250 West.
Please be sure to give Sal's a try (if you haven't already done so). I'm sure you'll see it's worth inclusion, and more than one visit!
