There wasn't a Mars Bar left on the Lawn at UVA Tuesday night, not after that afternoon's annual Halloween candy raid. Hundreds-- perhaps thousands-- of sweet-tooth princesses, pirates, and police went from Lawn room to Pavilion porch, storming each UVA residence for all it was worth.
Even with their sugar highs, the mini-monsters aren't the only ones who enjoyed the festivities.
"It's great coming out here and seeing all this," says mom and Charlottesville resident Amy Olrick. "I love it. I think my son may be a little shell-shocked from all the excitement, though."
