Penny DuBois: "Good idea. It'll stop the traffic. It will help other people get from one place to the other without having the parking problems that we have."

Chris Brena:"I think, generally, it'd be a great idea. My only concern-- being a cyclist and commuting on my bike-- if it encroached on those two bike lanes that are so efficient on Main Street, that would be problematic. Otherwise, from a tourist standpoint, I think it'd be a nice attraction. It would also cut down on the traffic congestion at certain times on Main Street."

What a joke! Much more appropriate for Richmond or Tidewater to be discussing this rather than Charlottesville. Remember, we are one of smaller MSA's in VA and if funds are hard to come by for such projects in Richmond or Tidewater, any type of light rail transit in C-ville is nothing but a pipe dream!
