Colin Schlueter: "I was out mountain biking one afternoon, and I almost ran over a snake lying in the sun. It reared up and hissed. It was about a three- or four-foot black snake. That was about it."

Jeni Holme: "A neighbor's pit bull confronted my dog and me when we were walking, and we were able to yell at him and keep him at bay until we could back up to a neighbor's house. The neighbor helped us run the dog off."

Justin Johnson: "I was walking down by Garrett Square, and I was walking past this tree, and a squirrel jumped out and attacked me. I think it's pretty hilarious 'cause I didn't think squirrels were that vicious."
