Charlottesville played host to Willie Nelson, and Nelson played his biggies. The pony-tailed king of outlaw country delivered such hits as "Always on my Mind,"  "On the Road Again,"  and  "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys."

The Sunday July 16 event at Coran Capshaw's Charlottesville Pavilion was billed as benefit for the Charlottesville Free Clinic, and IT sold out shortly after tickets went on sale in early April. The man who once bragged of smoking marijuana on a balcony at the Carter White House brought his beat-up guitar.
