The recent three-minute storm claimed another member of the plant family Tuesday, July 6, as workers with Van Yahres Tree Service toiled in record-breaking heat (the temperature hit 103Ã?Å¡F at McCormick Observatory) to bring down a damaged pecan tree–- what may have been the area's biggest–- in a North First Street yard.
