New prez chats up alumni

The new president of Hampden-Sydney College, Christopher B. Howard, right, chats up alumnus J. Tayloe Emery at an August 5  reception at Farmington Country Club. As a Rhodes Scholar, war veteran, athlete, and university professor, Howard brings a pedigree not unlike that of Josiah Bunting III, who helmed the small men's college for a decade beginning in 1977.
