Winter jasmine has come out

It's that time when the Hook takes a picture of the winter jasmine, a bellwether of the weather, at the corner of Rugby Road and University Avenue. This picture was taken the 19th of February, and it shows a level of bloom that's typical– but about a month before last year's late bloom.

Wow a whole month early - maybe we should send this bellwether of climate change to our chief state climate watcher, Ken Cuccinelli. Although, as this article indicates; he isn't gaining much ground from climate change skeptics.
