Snap: Day of the dandelions

"Who needs dogwoods?" asks photographer Anne Rucker, pointing out that while often considered weeds, dandelions are to her a sign of spring. "It is well known that the best way to see if a person likes butter is to hold a dandelion under the chin and see if the yellow is reflected there," Rucker writes in an email. "Also, to make wishes come true, one must blow all the seeds off in one breath. And they're edible."
