Snap: Clouds cleared over West Main

This was the scene early Thursday afternoon, April 28, after the rain stopped falling on a succession of rain storms that helped reduce some of the rainfall deficit that has been plaguing the area. Although some private rain gauges, particularly those downtown and east of Charlottesville, measured over two inches of rainfall (plus a few doses of hail), the official tally measured at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport was just .85 inches.
