VMFA hosts grand opening of the expanded museum

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which has undergone an extended period of building and redevelopment, unveils the results during a grand opening weekend in Richmond. Among the numerous events, Tibetan monks from the Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, N.Y. will be in residence for a week creating an elaborate sand mandala.
