Sweet Baby James at John Paul Jones
If “You’ve Got a Friend,” now would be a good time to call him up and make plans for Thursday, August 17 when uber-folkster and 1970s icon James Taylor will “Shower the People” at the John Paul Jones arena. Taylor’s other smash hits include “Carolina in my Mind,” “Handy Man” and “Fire and Rain.” Tickets go on sale June 3 at 10am and can be purchased at www.johnpauljonesarena.com.

Can we ever find out if he was the subject of ex-wife Carly Simon’s famous song, “You’re so Vain.” (I bet he thinks this song is about him.)
that song was about urber playboy and apparent creep Kris Kristofferson
Warren Beatty, I thot.
Actually, the only person outside of Carly Simon who knows for sure is the guy on Martha’s Vineyard who made the highest bid on the secret in a charity silent auction last year. But, unfortunately for the rest of us, that guy had to sign a confidentiality agreement. My money’s still on Beatty, though.
A friend of mine, who is a friend of Carly’s and who also knows Kris, say’s it’s about Kris and that he was known back then as “the heat-seeking missile” but who knows…
Sweet Baby James? No big whoop. Clapton on October 12? Now THAT’S worth standing in line for! Tickets on sale August 26. The band features Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II. Robert Cray opens.
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw Carly Simon pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
“Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.” I heard that Taylor’s friends chipped in to buy a plane ticket for a friend name Suzanne to pay them a visit, but the plane crashed, and she died. “Suzanne, the plans they made put an end to you.”
